The Single Girl

I'm a 31 year-old, single woman living in a suburb of Detroit. I have no kids, a decent job and a few good friends. Yet, I haven't found that one person to settle down with. The stories I'm about to tell are about the experiences that I've had while dating. Some of them may go way back, and some may have happened last week.

The blog you are about to read is true. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent and the bad dates.

I won't reveal my real name on this blog, not yet at least.  I also won't reveal any one else's real name. One to protect their identity, since they often don't know I'm writing about them. And two, to protect my identity, as I often work with the media and also mentor some teenagers. I'd hate for them to Google me and find out about my dating/sex life.

I also wanted a place where I wouldn't be afraid to tell the truth about what is happening. I can discuss my dates, my friends, family and even sex, without much of a worry that someone will get mad. As I often try to protect peoples feelings, I may not always tell them the truth, and that is especially true when you first start dating someone.
